The Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid have 18-inch 10-spoke gloss black alloy wheels, while the range-topping Sport Touring Hybrid augments the exterior with 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with a machined finish. The Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid feature a gloss black grille and gloss black exterior trim accents. The Sport-L Hybrid adds a power tailgate. The Sport Touring Hybrid incorporates rain-sensing variable intermittent windshield wipers and a hands-free access power tailgate. All three trims feature a power moonroof and chrome exhaust finishers.

The CR-V Hybrid's powertrain combines a 2.0-liter direct injection Atkinson engine with an AC synchronous permanent-magnet electric motor. The gasoline engine produces 145 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 138 pound-feet of torque at 4,500 rpm, while the electric motor delivers 181 horsepower between 5,000 and 8,000 rpm and 247 pound-feet of torque from 0 to 2,000 rpm. They generate a total system output of 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque. Power is managed through a continuously variable transmission and distributed to all four wheels via the standard Honda Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System.

The CR-V Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds across all trim levels. You can select from four drive modes — ECON, Normal, Sport, and Snow — to optimize performance and efficiency. All trims feature deceleration paddle selectors, and hill-descent control enhances off-road capability. The MacPherson strut front suspension and multilink rear suspension deliver balanced handling. The CR-V Hybrid can tow up to 1,000 pounds when equipped with optional towing accessories.

The Sport Hybrid features a 7-inch digital instrument display and a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system. Sport-L Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid models are upgraded to a 9-inch touch-screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The Sport Touring Hybrid adds a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. All trims include heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. Sport-L Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid models add leather-trimmed seats and a power-adjustable driver's seat with a memory function. The cargo area on all trims provides 36 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats, expanding to 76.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.

The Honda Sensing safety suite is standard on all CR-V Hybrid models. It includes the brand's Collision Mitigation Braking System, a road departure mitigation system, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and forward collision and lane departure warnings. Every trim includes a blind-spot information system, while Sport-L Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid add a cross-traffic monitor. The Sport Touring Hybrid offers low-speed braking control. Additional safety features include multiple airbag systems, vehicle stability assist with traction control, and antilock braking.
